WORK HISTORY AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS


Director of Women & Infant’s Services

190+ Bed Licensed Hospital.

  • Direct and indirect oversite of nursing operations for 4 direct and 270 indirect reports on three units (Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Neonatal ICU). These three units are comprised of 120+ inpatient beds with an annual operating budget of $26M.
  • Alignment of staffing model with patient volume –changes resulted in decrease of patients who left without being seen (LWBS) from 7% to 2%.
  • Uphold standards set by the World Health Organization to continue our Baby Friendly designation which was achieved in March 2017. Redesignation achieved in December 2022.
  • Maintain Magnet status criteria for Women & Infant’s and IMC units, including oversite of process improvement projects
  • Knowledge of and compliance with regulatory agency guidelines such as Joint Commission and CMS (Center for Medicare/Medicaid Services) as well as ASPAN guidelines as they apply to the Obstetric Operating Suites.
  • Oversite and accountability for all nurse corps members and processes at the 944th Aeromedical Staging Squadron –both in garrison as well as deployed functionality
